Location: , United Kingdom | Hi, could you please tell me how I stand on importing cars to aus? I am applying for a 575 skilled independent visa, assuming I am succesful I would like to take two cars. I own one of them and am considering buying one for my wife as I understand landrovers cost a lot more in aus. I would be very grateful if you could provide me with some knowledge of import laws and government charges.
Thank you Clive | |

| Hi Clive,
Unfortunately, you are only allowed to take one car into Australia.
You will need to apply for an import permit first, and then go from there.
If you would like to e-mail me directly: harriet.summerscales@anglopacific.co.uk I will forward you a car import guide to Australia.
Look forward to speaking to you.
