Is it possible to transfer currency to Australia without an Australian bank account first, can I concvert my UK account and take that with me or keep using it?

Sahane,

Apologies for the delayed response, i was on leave last week. You will need to open an Australian account to be able to transfer ufnds across there, but this is very easy to do before you leave the UK.

The other option is if you have family members or trusted friends, you could transfer it to their account if you have not managed to set one up before you leave.
